SOCCER INFORMATION

Welcome to the Eureka Sports Association Soccer League Homepage. We are excited about this season and hope that your child will be able to join us for a fun filled soccer season. As part of the West County Soccer League your child will be playing with teams from Fenton, Pacific, and Northwest. We hope that your family can join us for an exciting year of soccer!

Little Kickers - PreK and Kindergarten

Register your boys and girls that are entering PreK and Kindergarten (2018-19 school year). The Little Kickers leauge consists of two separate divisions. PreK players must turn 4 by November 1st and Kindergarten players should be entering Kindergarten this fall.  This is a coed league that plays other Eureka teams only, with all games at Lions Park.  Teams are built based on players registered and teams may be boys, girls, or coed. Uniforms (shirt and socks), a soccer ball, and trophies are provided to each player by Eureka Sports Association.

The registration fee is $80.

Boys and Girls Training League - 1st and 2nd Grade

Register your Boys or Girls that will be in 1st and 2nd Grade for the 2018-19 school year. This league travels to other WCSL Associations and receives participation trophies from Eureka Sports Association.

Boys and Girls Trophy League - 3rd Grade - High School

Register your boys or girls that will be in 3rd grade to High School for the 2018-19 school year. (Boys leagues only go through 8th grade) This league travels to other WCSL Associations and receives trophies from WCSL for first place.

The registration fee is $110.

COACHES' CODE OF ETHICS

  • I hereby pledge to live up to my responsibility as an ESA Coach by following the ESA Coaches' Code of Ethics.
  • I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win
  • I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group
  • I will do my best to provide a safe playing situation for my players.
  • I will promise to review and practice the basic first aid principles needed to treat injuries of my players
  • I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players
  • I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players
  • I will provide a sports environment for my team that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and I will refrain from their use at all youth sports events
  • I will be knowledgeable in the rules of each sport that I coach, and I will teach these rules to my players
  • I will use those coaching techniques appropriate for each of the skills that I teach.
  • I will remember that I am a youth sports coach, and that the game is for children and not adults

PARENTS' CODE OF ETHICS

  • I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in youth sports by following this Parents' Code of Ethics Pledge.
  • I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.
  • I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win
  • I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
  • I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all
  • I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all youth sports events
  • I will remember that the game is for youth-not for adults.
  • I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child
  • I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials, with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability
  • I promise to help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectable fan, assisting with coaching, or providing transportation.
  • I will require that my child's coach be trained in the responsibilities of being a youth sports coach and that the coach upholds the Coaches' Code of Ethics.

PLAYERS' CODE OF ETHICS

  • I hereby pledge to be positive about my youth sports experience and accept responsibility for my participation by following this Players' Code of Ethics Pledge.
  • I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.
  • I will attend every practice and game that I can, and will notify my coach if I cannot.
  • I will expect to receive a fair and equal amount of playing time.
  • I will do my very best to listen and learn from my coaches.
  • I will treat my coaches, other players, officials and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
  • I deserve to have fun during my sports experience and will alert parents or coaches if it stops being fun!
  • I deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and expect adults to refrain from their use at all youth sports events.
  • I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it's important to me.
  • I will do my very best in school.
  • I will remember that sports are an opportunity to learn and have fun.

Soccer Field Permits will be distributed by your ESA coordinator. Once submitted the Eureka's Park's and Recreation department will assign your practice times.

All Coaches and Managers are required to have a background check.

Eureka Sports Association provides several options to satisfy your background check requirements. Head Coaches and Managers are reminded that every adult working with your team members is required to have a background check dated with the current year. ESA will pay for up to 3 background checks per team.

Options:

  1. Paid by ESA - go to First Check Applicant Screening and complete the form (SSN is required). This is a secure form with ESA being provided only the results of the background Check. We do not receive a copy of your SSN.
  2. Paid by Coach/Manager ($11.00) - Go to Missouri State Highway Patrol website, complete the Name Search and provide the ESA Registrar a copy of the results.
  3. If you have previously had a background check in the calendar year you are Coaching/Managing you can provide a copy of the results to the ESA Registrar.
